What is the fee and what do I get in return?

First of all, I , Magic Photos by Kristel Zanol put a tremendous amount of love and energy into what I do. The prices charged are very correct and pay for work. You get unique memories to cherish forever in return.

Is VAT still charged?

All prices include VAT

I want to cancel the session / I forgot the appointment

We photograph a limited number of sessions per week. If a session is cancelled, we feel it in our wallet. So we would like you to inform us immediately if you want to cancel the session. Then we still have a chance to fill the free spot.

Portrait Sessions: If we are only notified the day before or the day itself, or if you forget our appointment, in most cases we charge a cancellation fee of 50€ to 200€, depending on any location costs. If no illness is involved, we would like to be notified at least two weeks before the session.

How far in advance is it best to book?

Our calendar for photo sessions often fills up months in advance, so for sessions with a deadline, it's best to get there as soon as possible. We prefer not to book more than 6 months in advance.

Only for weddings we can book at least a year in advance so you are sure of your photographer and place!

What is the delivery time?

The images from photo sessions are ready after two to three weeks on average.

Photo products and photo books each have their own delivery time as well depending on how quickly you green light an album I design for you. Be sure to ask about this before you order so we can confirm if your possible deadlines can be met.

For weddings you should also count 4 weeks delivery time of the images, the album can sometimes take a little longer depending on your choice and when you give me your choice.

Why don't we get our photos right after the session?

For photographers, shooting itself is only part of the work. After the session (and after the photo session is paid for), we start working with your photos. We select the best images, and start editing them one by one so that each image meets our perfectionist standards. Because this is an artistic process where haste rarely gives the best results, and because the number of photos selected may vary, it sometimes takes a little longer.

Can we get the unselected images? Can we get the unedited versions? Do we get RAW files?

Raw files consist only of raw information, and are therefore only half of the result. A raw file is like a painter's paint before anything is even on canvas. As a photographer, we use this loose information to start building a photograph within our style and preferences. Photos in raw format are unusable for laymen because they still need to be edited. Without editing, the photos have little contrast, bland colors and a lot of noise. So if we were to give these photos to clients, we run the risk that on the one hand the photos will be sent out into the world unedited, and on the other hand they will be edited in a way that does not fit our style. Moreover, since we as photographers always retain copyright over our work, this would be an infringement of our rights. Also, the unselected photos represent our work in a way that we as photographers do not consider appropriate, which is why we do not provide RAW files.

What is included in a wedding reportage?

Editorial wedding coverage is primarily about telling the story of the wedding and placing it in the best possible light. This means that instead of highlighting the actual moments of the day, these moments can be recreated or posed in a way that illustrates the overall beauty and feeling of the wedding.

What are the most important wedding photos on a wedding day?

Can I print my photos myself?

When you order the digital files, you get the photos in high resolution. That means they are large enough to print or have printed. Keep in mind that many cheaper labs still edit the photos themselves, which not only results in a noticeable difference in quality, but also loses the typical character of the photos we put so much time into. For this reason, we sell high quality photo prints ourselves at highly competitive prices. the HD prints are good for A4 size . For larger prints please order from us.

Can I place orders later?

You certainly can, your photos will be kept on hard drives and archives.

Do you have gift certificates?

Yes, ask for them and I can send them nicely wrapped if needed. The gift certificate consists of printed matte paper with the logo of the business, an additional note, the total and an expiration date. And is delivered in a stylish envelope finished with satin ribbons.

I've booked a session at an outdoor location and it's raining, what now?

In case of heavy rain we will postpone the session, make sure I have your phone number to make arrangements about this. Because the weather in our little country can be very unpredictable, I like to wait until a few hours before the session. As long as it stays dry, the session can continue, the sun does not have to shine.

What do we wear for a session?

For sessions on location wear what you feel comfortable in, but still try to coordinate some outfits. Too busy prints is not a good idea, neither are a lot of dark colors.

I personally like soft colors You may also send me some pictures of your options if you would like some advice. For all maternity shoots, I have a whole collection of beautiful clothing that you can use for free.

Are we a match?

As a client, you know what you are looking for in a photographer. You can appreciate spontaneous and pure photography. If after looking at my portfolio and an introductory meeting, you have full confidence in my way of photographing, my point of view and my style? Then we are a match made in

How are images delivered?

Post processing of photos is like the icing on the cake indispensable! The selected and edited images, are delivered to you digitally in the highest (jpeg) quality.

For your search for the perfect prints, I am happy to help you. After all, there's nothing more regrettable than letting those precious photos languish on your hard drive.
